It’s time again for the best foodie festival in Limpopo so best you get yourself together, gather friends and family and make your way to the mountains.
Now there are a few new happenings and a few small changes this year. Like any successful festival we have to adjust to the times and the demand from the public, therefore we are constantly improving and finding more activities for you to enjoy.

There will be live music on both Saturday and Sunday with  lots of food and good entertainment.
The entrance fee into the festival grounds will be R20 per adult which affords you the opportunity to win a stay at letaba Eco lodge for two people!!  So, keep your ticket.  And then, go to the glass ladies and get your branded wine tasting glass, with our logo on so you can go home and brag with it;  for R20 for the small glass and R30 for a lovely bigger red wine glass, also to take home.  Take this along to the wine makers and wine estates and taste to your hearts delight!!  But, do buy the wine you like and sit somewhere quietly to enjoy it.
The festival this year will placing a bigger emphasis on good healthy food, food products and hand crafted beers, gins and liqueurs. Zwakala Brewery, Keith and his Blikskottel Mampoer, Qualito and others will be on hand to lead you astray.
Approximately 15 wine estates will be ready to add some class (what makes you think I am a sworn wine drinker?) to the festival with wine tasting as well as food and wine pairing. Wine estates will include Springfield, Zevenwacht, Alvi’s Drift, The Goose, Douglas Green, La Vierge, Namaqua, Vondeling and many others.  Where else in Limpopo do you get to do this?  It is a delightful experience, just a word of caution, do bring granny or mom as designated driver... not that it means much - I am granny and mom and you are not going to get me not to taste wine and gin and beer......

Traffic flow during the Festival

Please take careful note of the following:

During the two days Festival certain parking and traffic restrictions will apply.  These restrictions will be put in place to ensure the safety of pedestrians, visitors and residents.  As we are expecting a high volume of cars to enter the village a decision was made to make one entrance into Haenertsburg and one exit out of Haenertsburg. This will also simplify the traffic flow and make it easier for visitors to find the parking areas. There are two parking areas and the entrance fee will be collected as you enter the parking area.  The entrance will be at the Annie’s Fortune Rd entrance and the exit will be at the 3-way stop, making it safe for vehicles to join the R71.  Traffic officers at both the entrance and the exit will be assisting visitors.

A HUGE appeal once again to visitors and stallholders to please park their vehicles in the parking areas.  Your vehicle will be very safe there and you will not have to drive up and down trying to find parking. There will be parking attendants at all the entrances to assist you.

Find a map of the village indicating the position of the parking areas an the intended traffic flow here

Wine-tasting will be available at all the wine stalls during the festival 29/30 April, and you will also be able to buy your preferred wine and take it home with you! Wine glasses, engraved with our logo, will be available for sale at R20 for the smaller glass and R30 for the bigger glasses, this is your entry to 15 or more wine estates for wine tasting!
Wines for tasting include amongst others,  Springfield, The Goose, Alvi’s Drift, Van Loveren, Vondeling, Zevenwacht, Vergenoegt and Namaqua Wines. This is the ideal opportunity to sharpen up your wine tasting skills so that you can impress your friends with your new knowledge, or just have fun! Food and wine pairing will be offered at Safari Wines, Springfield Wines and other wine stalls.
Where else in Limpopo will you get to have so much fun in one place!

Entrance fee!

A very small entrance fee of R20 per adult over 18 will be collected at the parking areas. We again require your assistance in helping the attendants who will be collecting your entrance fee, please insist on a entrance ticket. Keep the number safe as there will be a lucky draw both days with a real snazzy prize.      For this you are getting to listen to some real good music, enjoy the  beer tasting, good food and lots of fun.  This is a fund raiser for tourism in the area and all proceeds will go towards Magoebaskloof Tourism to cover the costs of organising an amazing festival for your enjoyment.  Live music on Saturday and Sunday from 12 - 5pm.  Fun Fun Fun... don’t miss it.
